Our Art Showcase Evening was a wonderful celebration of creativity and talent! Families enjoyed exploring displays of amazing student artwork—from detailed drawings to colorful cardboard and clay sculptures. Students proudly shared their pieces and demonstrated their artistic skills at interactive stations where families could join in on drawing, coloring, and creating together. It was an inspiring night filled with imagination and excitement. Way to go, Quarter 1 art students—you made us proud!

Good Afternoon Families, Our PTO is currently sponsoring a Book Fair this week. It will be open on Tuesday 10/7 8am-4pm, Wenesday 10/8 9am-4pm, Thursday 10/9 11:30am-7pm (closed 4-5pm for dinner break), and Friday 10/10 11:30am-4pm.
Frios will be on campus tomorrow. Enjoy a tasty treat and support the SMUSD Odyssey of the Mind program. Pops are $4 and 20% comes back to our students.
What an amazing couple of nights of celebrating our students’ success on the AASA state test! 🎉 Between 4th and 5th grade, we had 48 students score proficient and 16 score highly proficient in ELA, along with 57 students proficient and 19 highly proficient in math! The energy and pride were felt all around as we honored the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the support of our families. These results are something truly worth celebrating—way to go, Coyotes! 🐾👏

What a great time we had during our Bring Your Parent to School event for 4th and 5th graders! Parents and students went head-to-head in some friendly (and funny) competition—5th grade battled it out in “Beat the Parents,” while 4th grade showed off their smarts in a lively game of Jeopardy with questions like, “How do you write 345,892 in standard form?” Let’s just say, a few parents were reminded that elementary math isn’t as easy as they remembered! It was a day full of laughter, learning, and a little friendly bragging rights.
